Our MISSION
The Tennessee Center for the Study and Treatment of Dyslexia exists to promote understanding of dyslexia and remove obstacles to reading and writing for children with dyslexia.
We do this by adding to the scientific evidence as a producer and translator of research; preparing educators to identify, instruct, and support students at risk for or with characteristics of dyslexia; and supporting students, their families, and their teachers through evaluations, individualized instructional recommendations, and knowledge to enable self-advocacy in school and careers.

- Educators have the knowledge, skills, and confidence to identify risk and characteristics of dyslexia across K-12.
- Students at risk for or with characteristics of dyslexia are identified early and receive intensified, evidence-based instruction.
- All families are equipped with the knowledge they need to help their children at risk or with dyslexia become readers and writers.
- The Center is utilized locally, nationally, and internationally as a trusted source of information, resources, and services for K-12 students, families, and educators.

- Hosted instructional trainings for educators
- Regional conferences to raise awareness of dyslexia and causes of reading failure
- Assistance to parents and educators to aid school based identification of dyslexia and related learning differences
- Testing services to inform our understanding of dyslexia and related learning differences
